Caroline Lizotte est reconnue internationalement comme étant une brillante harpiste et compositrice québécoise. Ses œuvres pour harpe sont primées et jouées partout dans le monde, dans les divers festivals et compétitions internationales de harpe, et sont listées parmi les œuvres les plus influentes du répertoire de la harpe fin 20e et 21e siècle. En juin 2019 au Québec et à Paris, elle a donné en première mondiale sa toute dernière oeuvre : “Stellar Sonata” opus 51 pour harpe électroacoustique, laquelle fut soutenue par le Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec.
Caroline travaille présentement sur son prochain album - une compilation de ses oeuvres marquantes pour harpe solo, jouées par la compositrice. Durant l’année 2021, elle sera parmi les artistes invités du Dutch Harp Festival à Utrecht, Pays-Bas, puis au World Harp Congress de Cardiff, Pays de Galles au Royaume-Uni.
Compositrice agréée au Centre de musique canadienne, Caroline Lizotte est jouée au Canada, aux États-Unis, en France, en Belgique, au Royaume-Uni, au Pays-Bas, en Italie, en Suisse, en Allemagne, en Autriche, en Hongrie, en Irlande, en Finlande, en Suède, en Norvège, au Mexique, en Colombie, en Nouvelle-Zélande, en Thaïlande, à Taiwan et au Japon. Elle débute la composition dès son jeune âge et possède un important catalogue d’oeuvres, de transcriptions originales et d’arrangements pour diverses formations. Plusieurs de ses oeuvres sont issues de commandes.
En 1999, elle fonde les éditions Calyane, micro-entreprise d’éditions musicales, par laquelle elle produit et distribue ses œuvres avec une touche personnalisée. On retrouve également des points de vente chez les plus importants facteurs de harpes à l’international, notamment Salvi Harps, Lyon & Healy Harps et Les Harpes Camac.

Her works for harp are celebrated and performed around the world, in festivals and international competitions for harp, and they are listed among the most influential works of the harp repertoire in late 20th and 21st century. In June 2019, she premiered her most recent work in Quebec and Paris: “Stellar Sonata” opus 51 for electroacoustic harp, which has been supported by the Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec.
Caroline is currently working on her next album – a compilation of her outstanding works for solo harp, played by the composer. During the year 2021, she will be among the guest artists at the Dutch Harp Festival in Utrecht, The Netherlands, as well as the World Harp Congress in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom.
An Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Center, Caroline Lizotte has been performed in Canada, the United States, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Mexico, Colombia, New Zealand, Thailand, Taiwan and Japan. She began composing at a young age and has a large catalog of works, original transcriptions and arrangements for various formations. Many of her works are from commissions.
In 1999, she founded les éditions Calyane, a musical publishing micro-enterprise, through which she produces and distributes her works with a personalized touch. There are also points of sale at the most important international harp makers, notably Salvi Harps, Lyon & Healy Harps and Les Harpes Camac.
